We are looking for a Waiter / Waitress to join our team of culinary and front-of-house stars at The Prince of Wales. This privately-owned “posh pub”, is set in the heart of Baslow, sitting on the edge of the beautiful Chatsworth Estate. Our passion is fresh, seasonal food using local ingredients in an informal and relaxed atmosphere.

The Role

This is a great opportunity for a customer focussed individual to work for a UK-leading team with unrivalled opportunities for career progression.

As Waiter / Waitress you will work within a tightly knit team under the guidance of the Prince of Wales Management team.

 

You will use your excellent communication skills and passion for all things food and wine to provide guests with an outstanding dining experience. They will remember your attention to detail and in-depth knowledge of the menu as much as the stunning food on their plates.

 

Key Duties

The duties and responsibilities of a Waiter/Waitress include welcoming and seating guests, taking guest orders, communicating them effectively to the kitchen and in addition, memorizing the menu and offering recommendations to upsell sides, desserts, or drinks.

As a kitchen porter, your primary role will be to support the team by ensuring all areas and equipment are kept clean. You will be part of a team delivering an exceptional food offering. While your focus will be on the pot wash, flexibility is required.

 

The Role

The ideal Kitchen Porter candidate would be able to demonstrate the following attributes:

  • Experience in a similar role preferred but not essential
  • Job Types: Full-time, Temporary, Permanent

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for a Chef de Partie to join our team of culinary and front-of-house stars at The Prince of Wales. The Role

As a Chef de Partie, you get to work in all areas of the kitchen. You will report to the Sous Chef and Head Chef. The position will allow you to further learn a restaurant’s culinary procedures, build stamina to handle high-pressure situations, and learn about multiple duties so that you can better determine your goals for career advancement. The job allows you to prove your commitment while working under different section chefs.

 

Key Duties

  • Preparing, cooking, and presenting dishes
  • Managing and training any commis working with you
  • Helping the sous chef and head chef to develop new dishes and menus
  • Ensuring you and your team have high standards of food hygiene and follow the rules of health and safety
  • Monitoring portion and waste control to maintain profit margins

We are looking for a Commis Chef to join our small perfectly formed team of culinary and front-of-house stars at The Prince of Wales. This privately-owned “posh pub”, is set in the heart of Baslow, sitting on the edge of the beautiful Chatsworth Estate. Our passion is fresh, seasonal food using local ingredients in an informal and relaxed atmosphere.

The Role

As commis chef, you will work in all areas to learn how the kitchen operates. The position will allow you to learn a restaurant’s culinary procedures, build stamina to handle high-pressure situations, and learn about multiple duties so that you can better determine your goals for career advancement. The job allows you to prove your commitment while working under different section chefs.

 

Key Duties

  • Preparation of ingredients for more senior chefs
  • Maintaining high standards of hygiene
  • Rotating food, putting away inventory, and dealing with deliveries
  • Measuring ingredients and sizing portions accurately
  • Learning about food safety techniques
  • Food preparation, including; chopping vegetables, stocking stations, organizing ingredients, and partly cooking some food
